CP1000 is an advanced high strength complex phase steel for automobile with over 1000MPa tensile strength. It is widely used in car body manufacturing, such as safety parts and structural parts like bumper beam, seat track, etc. It can effectively and efficiently reduce weight, therefore reduce energy consumption and pollution, improve material efficiency, and safety performance at the same time.
Although the composition systems of complex phase steel and dual phase steel are similar, complex phase steel has more complex microstructure and higher requirement for technology and equipment. Only a few steel mills in China have the production capability at present. Thanks to its sophisticated metallurgical structure and low carbon content, complex phase steels enjoy a higher yield ratio, better bending, hole expansion and flanging ability, and excellent welding performance.
With first-class production equipment, VAMA adopts the leading technology of ArcelorMittal, successfully developed the qualified CP1000 on its continuous annealing line. Through VAMA’s special process route, the CP1000 shows qualified microstructure, stable performance, excellent surface quality, and meets the material certification requirements of its customers.
With the leading technologies, VAMA has the capability of CP1000 mass production and becomes one of the steel mills that has this capability.
